Corroflon with a polypropylene braid (PB) provided a significantly lighter alternative to a stainless-steel braid, posing less of a health and safety risk to employees. Corroflon PB was successful as when the hoses were removed for cleaning the lighter braid made this easier, PTFE also posed no risk of leaching.
